BEAUTY AND SELF-RESPECT
I often debate in my mind what the work is that needs to be done. In each of these mental expeditions I begin, without doubt, that a new language is being adopted at an exponential rate.
The confidence in this is attributed mostly to the way it captures the attention of the thought leaders who know the seminal history of the work. It is this fact that I revere most. Each of my hypotheses has struck a chord with the academics and university institutions who support this journey. I have no doubt that this work is paramount.
The task was to explore how self-respect fosters cooperation, love, tolerance, deep connection and meaning. I have no doubt that we need look just to the left of what we see in front of us for just long enough to see past the parts of our lives that we want to change. We all understand things differently and it is that notion that determines in the way that ideas land. In my doctorate (PhD), the simplicity of my ideas embody a level of sophistication that is endearing to the academic world. In my poetry, the reader is whisked away into their own dreamworld where the ideas land softly in an imaginative, positive, space.
In my programs, you are the creator and I get to go on the journey with you as the author.
I have no doubt that my ideas can be easily challenged to which I have little concern and the greatest respect. It keeps the conversation open. However, the point of the idea is to contribute to it rather than to use it as a tool for division. Once we agree on that, these concepts have the best chance to become knowledge.
‘The work’ is often focused on love, alignment, manifestation, prioritisation, appreciation and a multitude of other approaches. We have all sought it this out at some point or another in our lives; or we have each been exposed to it even if we haven’t sought it out. It exists in retreats, historical lessons, mentorship, coaching, men’s only, women’s only, couples only, yoga only…the list goes on. This is not that!
This work is not work. It is for those who create programs to work for the benefit of others
Most of the time, the answers are obscured in imagery, testimonials and stories. We are enticed with the notion that I have it, do you want it? Then we are convinced that we had it all along. Yet the question still remains. What is it that we are searching for? I have no doubt that the answer is - we are all searching for the same thing - beauty.
The romance with the self is directed inward. This romance includes you, and others. However, it is completely dedicated to you. Yes, others will benefit but it is yours and yours alone. There may be very few moments in life where you truly get to isolate the what, how and why and focus it directly on yourself, just for you. This feels different because it is different. This feels unique because it carries a truth, your truth.
